The Region is filling an open position on the Children's Advisory Committee.  We are looking for someone with experience as a Child Welfard Advocate.

The Committee is currently comprised of:

o  Adult individual who utilize services or actively involved relatives of such individual

o  Provider of adult mental health and disability services

o  Parent of a child who utilizes services or actively involved relatives of such child

o  Education system member

o  Early Childhood advocate

o  Child welfare advocate

o  Children’s behavioral health service provider

o  Juvenile Court member

o  Pediatrician

o  Child care provider

o  Local law enforcement representative

o  Regional Governing Board member

o  Other related interest ________________________________

If you are interested in serving as a representative of a Child Welfare Advocate, the region is currently taking applications. Please fill out the application and return to Suzanne Watson at: swatson@swiamhds.org by August 1, 2023. This will be an exciting opportunity to learn more about the region service system and to provide input in areas that matter to you!  The Advisory Committee will meet at least twice a year.
