Website is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.   Service description: • Durable Medical Equipment Loan Program: Supports Iowans by providing used durable medical equipment. Equipment is provided on a loan basis, associated with a nominal fee, for an unlimited length of time as long as the user does not reside in a licensed facility. Loan item examples include: electric hospital beds, electric and manual wheelchairs, and adaptive bathroom devices such as toilet lift seats. Donations are welcomed, items must be in good to excellent condition.
  • Assistive Technology Lending Library: Try-before-buying program, allowing individuals (including families, individuals, counselors and schools) to check out up to five pieces of equipment for up to 30 days to find out if it will work for them before deciding to purchase it from a vendor. Example items include daily living aids, computer adaptations (voice activated software, adaptive keyboards), medication management devices, sensory items, and safety items. • Demonstration Center: Located at Camp Sunnyside in Des Moines, showcases different types of assistive technology and other equipment individuals may use to make their home more accessible. Examples include tub lifts, accessible kitchens and more. • Used Equipment Referral Service (UERS): Online listing found at https://eastersealsia.at4all.com, Iowans can view, buy, and sell assistive technology (AT) products.
